The Tactee® system assists individuals with mono- or bilateral functional grasping challenges, enhances their daily activities, and promotes independence. This innovative system offers a range of tools designed to facilitate tasks like eating, drinking, and writing, among others. These tools have a handgrip component worn on the hand, simplifying attaching and detaching tools ensuring a seamless and autonomous experience.

With three different sizes of grasping elements, the Tactee® system includes specialised utensils and adapters that allow users to interact with everyday items such as pens, toothbrushes, razors, and more.

The strength of attachment is a crucial feature of Tactee, achieved through a hand adapter featuring three powerful magnets aligned closely with flexible joints in between. This linear magnet configuration ensures a secure and robust connection. The flexibility of the joints becomes especially advantageous when it comes to detaching tools from the adapter. Additionally, the adapter incorporates a hygienic polyurethane strap for easy closure via mouth operation and a thumb strap to prevent slipping once loaded. For added comfort, a dorsal pad is available to reduce pressure and can be applied to the adapter for patients with less soft tissue.

3. The correct product size is crucial to achieving the desired functional outcome.

4. The clasp system should be fitted and adjusted by orthopedic personnel who have provided it, customising it to match the patient’s anatomy and condition.

5. The components of this kit should not be modified without the oversight of qualified personnel for any reason.

6. Skin in the pressure support zone should remain intact and free from hypersensitivity. If skin inflammation, irritation, or other issues arise, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare provider promptly.

7. All kit components are strictly for personal use by a single patient. Sharing the device with others can pose hygiene and functional risks, particularly for parts in direct contact with the skin.

8. If the device becomes damaged or malfunctions, it should not be used. Instead, it should be replaced and disposed of appropriately.
